Hockey mullet

We finally caved in and gave Owen his first haircut after returning from our trip. (you can see why) It was a team effort and turned out much better than we anticipated, despite the fact that Owen was squirming in the tub and we used a household scissors.

Leeches are awesome!!!

Although Owen liked watching us fish, and even caught one himself, he LOVED the leeches. He kept pulling them out and wanting to share them with mom, who has no problem holding them, but didn't appreciate them being kindly placed on her legs and other limbs.

Driving the pontoon

Owen really needs to catch up on his tan if he wants to compete with Grampie.

GO Joe Mauer!!!

We had a great time at the Twin's game at Target Field. It was super hot, but the kids hung in there and Owen got to see the "real" Joe Mauer (he currently has a poster in his room that he says hi to every day). The real deal was much cooler to him!

Supporting daddy's team!!!

Beautiful day at the Tulip Festival

We went up to the Tulip Festival with the Matins in April and the kids had a blast. The weather was really warm and the flowers were beautiful.

Happy Birthday to ME!!!

Owen had a really fun party on Saturday. We had about 45 adults and kids here, and despite the noise & activity, it was a blast. Thank God for the playroom and Owen's new fort though. Oh... and the cupcake tree!, which was a hit!

After hours dancing

Testing out my new fort!!

Mark made an awesome fort before the party and it was an absolute hit. It is still standing after about 10 boys climbing on it for two hours.

Loving Thomas at the train show

We took Owen to the train show over a week ago and he still wakes up every day asking to go.

Snow Day!!

Misti, Dave, Izzie and Si came up to visit us in late January. We left Si with Nana and us big kids headed up for a day of sledding. All of us had a blast and literally had to pry Owen out of the sled. He wouldn't even be at the bottom of the hill befor saying "do again!!!"
It was a great visit and we were sad to have them leave.

It was a Thomas Christmas

Dick and Diane came to visit us in mid-December, so Owen got to have an early Christmas. He scored some serious Thomas loot (PJs, train tracks, bath toys, etc..) and was so excited. Little did he know that was just the beginning since Santa Clause came to town two weeks later with TONS more!

Time to go home and decorate

We had our first Thanksgiving in Seattle, which was a lot of fun and pretty low-key. The next day, we met up with the Matins and Chris and Amy and went tree hunting. Owen had a blast running around and probably wiped out at least 50 times. He just rubbed the dirt off each time and kept going.

Found you!

Uncle Chris is funny!

Counting to 10 (minus the 7)

The only way we can get Owen to say the number 7 is if he is bribed with a "num num", so we are hoping that it will soon come out of his mouth voluntarily. We'll see.....

Can you name the family member?

On the mend at Children's Hospital

Thanks again to everyone for their support these past few weeks. Owen is doing great now and we are optimistic that this strange Kawasaki Disease will become a distant memory soon.

Coloring the fish

We started a bad thing in the hospital by letting Owen color the fish on the floor. It made him very happy, but now he thinks he can color on floors at home.

Tree hugger...

My two trophies

My team won the golf tourney that Dick puts on each year and I also got a trophy for longest putt, which was pretty cool. Especially since I hadn't planned on playing and have the back of an 80 year old man!

Does this bring out the blue in my eyes?
